Tony Tong founded \u003ca href=\"\/en\/collections\/elitewheels\"\u003eElitewheels\u003c\/a\u003e and remains its product engineer, with more than ten years of work from design through to quality control. Mian Chan comes from racing: a UCI-registered professional rider and former technician for a UCI team, he also founded the crankset brand Cybrei. They took three years to prepare the brand, launched in 2025 with a single aim: carbon frames designed for racing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTests beyond the standard\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFrame and fork go through 21 in-house tests that are tougher than ISO, including a seatpost fatigue test at 1,440 N over 10,000 cycles, the equivalent of about 147 kg sitting on the saddle, ten thousand times in a row. The German institute Zedler certified the CIMA at its Advanced level, and its shape was validated in the wind tunnel at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, in the UK. In 2026, the CIMA, co-branded with its distributor Rali, equips the UCI ProTeam Solution Tech NIPPO Rali and its development team.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eFigures published size by size\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvolve publishes the weight of every painted frame, size by size and colour by colour, next to the unpainted figure, with a breakdown of the 180.2 g of small parts supplied in the kit. On the CIMA, 650 g unpainted in size M becomes 696 to 736 g once painted: the difference is the paint, and the brand says so. Frames are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhy MAAKE carries it\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor that frankness about figures, and because Evolve designs the frame with the rest of the bike in mind: the stock top cap is designed for \u003ca href=\"\/en\/collections\/kreuza\"\u003eKreuza\u003c\/a\u003e handlebars, and Elitewheels wheels come from the same team. At MAAKE: the \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/evolve-cima-road-frameset\"\u003eCIMA\u003c\/a\u003e for the road, for climbing and aero, and the \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/evolve-cima-gr-gravel-frameset\"\u003eCIMA GR\u003c\/a\u003e for gravel racing, with tyres up to 50 mm in 1x. In the wind tunnel, the brand measured up to 17.28 W less drag at 35 km\/h, a gain you collect on fast rolling terrain, not when you accelerate on a climb.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe geometry follows the tyre size. Evolve publishes the trail of each frame size for each tyre width: in M, 60 mm with a 30c, 67 mm with a 50c. The maths backs it up: at a 71° head angle, every millimetre of wheel radius adds 0.34 mm of trail. And a 50 lifts the axle by around twenty millimetres compared with a 30. More tyre, more trail, so calmer steering. Clearance goes up to 50 mm with a single chainring, 45 mm with a double, electronic only.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvolve derived the CIMA GR from its CIMA road frame, keeping its seatpost and most of its parts, and added a protective film on the down tube. The build stays simple: 68 mm BSA bottom bracket, SRAM UDH hanger, CeramicSpeed SLT bearings, chainring up to 58 teeth. The only exclusion is Campagnolo's EPS, whose battery won't fit in the frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvolve validated the CIMA's shape in the wind tunnel at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub and covers it with its limited lifetime warranty.
