Road tubeless tyres chosen by rim, frame and use.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eFrom Milan to the first Giro\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eGiovanni Battista Pirelli founded his rubber company in Milan in 1872, and launched his first velocipede tyre in 1894. At the first Giro d'Italia, in 1909, 30 of the 49 riders who finished were already on Pirelli. The brand then left cycling and returned in 2017, with a compound synthesised at its Milan Bicocca research centre by the researchers behind its Formula 1 tyres.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eMade in Bollate, near Milan\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Bollate factory, opened in 1962 for car tyres, was converted from 2019 and has produced bike tyres since 2022. The line is highly automated: tread and textile components prepared at the sides, the tyre assembled then vulcanised in the centre, quality control by hand. The \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/pirelli-p-zero-race-tlr-road-tyre\"\u003eP ZERO Race TLR\u003c\/a\u003e comes out of it, with the SpeedCORE tubeless casing that this factory made possible.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eDeveloped with the pros\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eBefore its release, the \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/pirelli-p-zero-race-tlr-rs-road-tyre\"\u003eP ZERO Race TLR RS\u003c\/a\u003e raced in Lidl-Trek colours with a “prototype” label: according to Pirelli, more than 70 podiums, including 30 wins. Testers and riders rode it together on Etna and in the Arenberg Trench. The workshop tip: the rim sets the actual width. In Pirelli's measurements, 2 mm more rim gives about 1 mm more tyre; the 28 measures 28 mm on a 19C rim, the 30 and 32 on a 21C.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhy MAAKE carries it\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor a road tyre made in Europe and developed in racing.
