The real choice is setback, the distance between the seatpost axis and the centre of the saddle clamp. With 20 mm, the \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/ritchey-wcs-1-bolt-alloy-seatpost\"\u003eWCS 1-Bolt\u003c\/a\u003e keeps the position of a classic road seatpost. With zero offset, the \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/ritchey-wcs-1-bolt-zero-offset-alloy-seatpost\"\u003eWCS 1-Bolt Zero Offset\u003c\/a\u003e is for when the saddle ends up too far back even though it is already pushed forward on its rails. The numbers speak for themselves: at a 72 cm saddle height on a 73° seat tube, going from 20 mm of setback to zero steepens the effective angle by more than 1.5°.
