Test them on the bike: seated, hands in the drops, the chamois covers the sit bones, the bones you rest on in the saddle, with no folds, and settles back into place after an out-of-the-saddle acceleration. Pick a jersey that is long at the back and covers the waistband. Below 18 °C, they are out of their element.
