The place
MAAKE is a physical place first. At the end of 2025, the whole project fits in a 50 m² unit in Montpellier city centre. On 1 February 2026, it moves into a 600 m² building in the Montpellier Sud district, opened on 13 June.
On the street side, the shop, open to everyone. Behind it, a shared workshop, a common stock, the photo studio and the lab, where we engrave, 3D print and anodise titanium.
Each company stays independent, with its own trade and its own customers. What brings them together is cycling culture in all its forms: road and racing, gravel and adventure, BMX and street. MAAKE keeps it alive as a cultural place, with its evenings, rides and races.
Under one roof
Several independent companies, brought together under the MAAKE name. Some serve riders, the others serve brands.
For riders
CYKL
French brand of titanium bikes, designed and assembled in Montpellier, built to order.
Studio Bike Fit
Bike fitting and nutrition advice, to set the bike up around the rider. It is the bike-fitting practice for MAAKE customers.
MAAKE Shop
The multi-brand shop: road, gravel, bikepacking, components and clothing, in store and at maake.cc.
For brands
MAAKE Factory
Storage, build-to-order assembly and shipping for bike brands, from Montpellier.
MAAKE Agency
Shopify stores, bike configurators and marketing for bike brands. It was all built for CYKL first.
Together
Titanium comes to BMX
CYKL is advising Reset BMX on its future BMX range. Spoiler: it will be titanium.
From bike fit to a custom bike
CYKL customers get their bike fit at Studio Bike Fit, and so do MAAKE Shop customers: the shop has its own dedicated bike-fitting practice on site. Those who then need a custom bike have it made by CYKL, a few metres away.
A common stock, a shared workshop
The shop relies on the workshop and stock on site: bikes are built and set up here, and frames and parts are stored on the premises.
What goes on here
MAAKE is also a cultural place for cycling. In the evenings and at weekends, the street and freestyle culture of BMX meets the road and gravel scenes here.
13 and 14 June 2026
Opening, with our neighbours at Restanque Ateliers, artists' studios celebrating their first anniversary: a BMX jam, exhibitions, DJ sets late into the night, then a gravel ride from the shop on Sunday morning with Original Montpellier Gravel.
18 June 2026
An alleycat co-organised with La Brigade, Montpellier's alleycat collective: starting at the Peyrou, finishing at MAAKE, with a cash prize. The winners' prizes were given by MAAKE.
30 October 2026
A rail session, then the premiere of the BMX DVD Intercités at Reset BMX: more than sixty people in the shop.
