7mesh brings technical outdoor know-how to cycling: bib shorts you fill like a pack, jackets that stow in their own pocket, layers that regulate heat to match the effort.
7mesh brings technical outdoor know-how to cycling: bib shorts you fill like a pack, jackets that stow in their own pocket, layers that regulate heat to match the effort.
7mesh was founded in 2013 in Squamish, British Columbia. Tyler Jordan had spent nineteen years building Arc'teryx, the last eight as CEO; Ian Martin led design there, and Calum Davidson the supply chain. All three rode, and felt that cycling clothing lagged behind what they were making for the mountains. The name pays tribute to Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh, the Indigenous name for the region.
The first product, the Revelation in 2014, was the first cycling jacket in GORE-TEX Active, built like a mountaineering jacket. The first bib shorts followed in 2015, with a “Clean Finish” construction that moves seams away from friction points. Then came the StashSystem, a pocket that stows the jacket and attaches to the bike, then WTV, an in-house thermal fabric that cuts the wind while letting heat out when the effort rises. In 2025, the PFAS-free Guardian collection in GORE-TEX ePE took the team back to the outdoors, where it came from.
In 2019, Fiona Kolbinger became the first woman to win the Transcontinental Race, 4,000 km in a single push, in 7mesh. Everything is designed, patterned and tested in Squamish, between the sea and the peaks of the Coast Mountains, then made by two long-standing partner factories, GORE-TEX certified for the jackets. Windproofing counts as much as waterproofing there: at 0 °C, riding at 30 km/h brings the felt temperature down to around -6 °C.
For technical outdoor know-how applied to adventure riding. The MK3 Cargo carries repair kit and food in five pockets, the Guardian Air stows in its own pocket and attaches to the bike, and the Chilco gilet in WTV keeps the torso warm and breathes on climbs. Where Q36.5 covers performance on the road, 7mesh covers long days far from everything, alongside our bikepacking bags.
They are designed, patterned and tested in Squamish, Canada, then made by two long-standing partner factories, GORE-TEX certified for the jackets. Each garment's country of manufacture is on its label.
7mesh guarantees its products against defects in materials and workmanship for their practical lifetime, excluding normal wear. On GORE-TEX jackets, GORE-TEX also guarantees the waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane for the life of the garment.
For rain on the bike, the Guardian Air, which travels packed into its pocket; for riding and walking, the Guardian Apex; for the mountains, the Guardian Terra. Against dry cold and wind, the Chilco pieces and the Seton jersey in WTV.
