    Description

    The women's 7mesh Guardian Terra is the brand's most accomplished jacket: a GORE-TEX Pro shell for full days outdoors when the weather turns, mountain hiking, ski touring, autumn bivouacs.

    The GORE-TEX Pro ePE has a three-layer construction, the membrane bonded between the outer fabric and a liner, and the outer is a 70-denier nylon: 70 g per 9,000 m of yarn, a dense fabric that stands up to rubbing from pack straps and rock. 7mesh says it stays waterproof over time, and its membrane is PFAS-free.

    The windproofing, guaranteed by GORE-TEX, makes the difference as soon as the air moves: at 0 °C in a 30 km/h wind, the wind chill drops to around -6 °C, and the wind goes straight through a down jacket. Worn over the top, the shell stops it. The Guardian fit has been widened for layering, so take your usual size, and four vents open up on the climbs. On the bike, the women's Guardian Apex is the better choice.

    It is designed in Squamish by a team founded by former Arc'teryx people, and tested in the mountains right outside the workshop. We chose it for the days when you go out anyway.
