    Description

    The 7mesh Chilco for women is a thermal gilet for autumn and winter, to slip over a long-sleeve jersey for gravel and bikepacking, and understated enough to keep on once the bike is parked.

    It keeps the torso warm and leaves the arms to shed heat. WTV 300, 7mesh's own fabric, backs a windproof woven face with a brushed layer that keeps the air warm; yet it lets enough air through for the heat of the climb to escape. Articulated armholes, roomy body: nothing pulls in the riding position.

    Off, it packs into its large rear pocket, which hidden straps attach to the frame: that is the StashSystem. Keeping it with you costs almost nothing: at 12 km/h on an 8% gradient, hauling its 206 g takes about 0.5 W. With no membrane, it does not replace a rain jacket.

    7mesh, founded in Squamish by former Arc'teryx people, designed the StashSystem so no layer forces you to carry a pack. We chose it because you forget you're wearing it, from the climb to the café terrace.
