    The CrossPull hood goes over the helmet and is adjusted once and for all. Rolled up and held by the StowAway Snap, it becomes a high collar that protects the back of your neck once the rain stops.

    Description

    The 7mesh Guardian Air is the rain jacket for adventure riding and bikepacking: 200 g in size M, you take it on every ride and put it on when the sky closes in.

    That weight comes from a 15-denier ripstop nylon, 15 g per 9,000 m of yarn, laid over a PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane. 7mesh quotes more than 28,000 mm of water column, and GORE-TEX guarantees the membrane waterproof, windproof and breathable for the life of the garment. Packed into its StashSystem pocket, it attaches to the bike or a bag and leaves your jersey pocket free.

    28,000 mm is a pressure of 2.7 bar, more than a car tyre: neither a downpour on a descent nor a backpack strap comes close. What gets you wet under a rain jacket is your own vapour. With no vents, open the two-way zip from the bottom on climbs. Take your usual size and try it on with your hands on the bar: the sleeves cover your wrists without pulling across the back. Underneath, a long-sleeve base layer is all you need in mid-season.

    It is designed and tested in Squamish, Canada, by a team founded by Arc'teryx alumni. We offer it as the jacket you never leave at home.
