    Frame and fork in TORAYCA T1100 and T800, reinforced with M40 high-modulus fibre: 750 g raw in size M, 830 g painted in Sahara Nude. Evolve claims 7.5% more stiffness at the bottom bracket and 1.2% at the head tube, where the power goes in and where the bike holds its line.

    Evolve measured up to 17.28 W less drag at 35 km/h in the wind tunnel. You get the gain on fast rolling terrain and long straights; on a steep climb, the speed is too low for the air to count.

    71° head angle and 1,022 mm wheelbase in size M, with 425 mm chainstays across all six sizes. Evolve publishes the trail for each tyre width, from 60 mm with 30c to 67 mm with 50c in size M: the steering stays easy to read whatever the tyre.

    Description

    The Evolve CIMA GR is Evolve's gravel race frameset: frame, fork and seatpost in TORAYCA T1100 and T800 carbon, 830 g for a painted size M frame. It is built for racing and fast gravel tracks, not for loaded touring. Its stock top cap is designed for the Kreuza Apex GR handlebar, sold separately.

    The weight tells you how the frame is made. Evolve reinforces the layup with M40 high-modulus fibre and claims 7.5% more stiffness at the bottom bracket and 1.2% at the head tube. Those are the two areas where the power goes in and where the bike settles into a corner. In the wind tunnel, the brand measured up to 17.28 W less drag at 35 km/h, a gain you collect on fast rolling terrain, not when you accelerate on a climb.

    The geometry follows the tyre size. Evolve publishes the trail of each frame size for each tyre width: in M, 60 mm with a 30c, 67 mm with a 50c. The maths backs it up: at a 71° head angle, every millimetre of wheel radius adds 0.34 mm of trail. And a 50 lifts the axle by around twenty millimetres compared with a 30. More tyre, more trail, so calmer steering. Clearance goes up to 50 mm with a single chainring, 45 mm with a double, electronic only.

    Evolve derived the CIMA GR from its CIMA road frame, keeping its seatpost and most of its parts, and added a protective film on the down tube. A road frame's weight, measured aero and 50 mm of clearance: that combination is what MAAKE picked.
