    Description

    The Hope F22 is Hope's MTB flat pedal, for riding without cleats, the shoe held by the shape and the pins. It replaces the F20, with a redesigned platform.

    It all starts from the dip: 14 mm thick in the centre, 17 mm at the edges, and shorter pins towards the middle, 4 mm against 5 to 6 around the edge. The foot sits in a cup instead of rolling on a bump. The asymmetric, tapered shape keeps clearance in ruts and on narrow trails.

    The seven long pins stand 5 mm proud with their washer, 6 mm without. That millimetre is set to suit the shoe: higher, the pin bites into the rubber and the foot stays put; lower, the foot repositions more easily. Fitted from the other side, the pins are less likely to loosen or seize. Hope asks for a straight Allen key, never a ball-end one.

    The body is CNC machined in Barnoldswick, in the United Kingdom, and keeps the bearings and sealing of the F20. We offer it because it can be stripped down and rebuilt: a pedal you maintain instead of replacing.
