    The 410 stainless steel track is riveted to an aluminium carrier with radial float. It expands independently of the carrier as the temperature changes.

    1.8 mm when new, to be replaced below 1.5 mm according to Hope. Measure on the track, never at the rivets, whose heads stand 1 mm proud.

    Description

    The Hope RX Center Lock is Hope's floating road rotor, in 140 or 160 mm, for a Center Lock hub. The lockring is not supplied: order one with the rotor.

    Hope carries over its floating construction here. The 410 stainless steel track is riveted to a machined aluminium carrier with a degree of radial freedom: it expands without dragging the carrier with it. Its outer edge is machined round, for safety and to make refitting the wheel easier.

    A 160 instead of a 140 mm rotor moves the pads further from the hub: at least 14% more torque for the same effort, for 23.5 g. On wear, the track is 1.8 mm thick new and must be replaced below 1.5 mm. Measure it on the track, not at the rivets, which stand 1 mm proud.

    Each track is laser cut, heat treated, then ground, to run true and make bedding in easier. MAAKE pairs it with the RX4+ SL calipers, for all-Hope braking.
