    Every part of the Gregarius Pro is developed in-house by Q36.5 and designed around the others, starting with the insert. That is what lets the whole thing work as a single garment rather than as an assembly of parts.

    The pattern brings four fabrics together with as few seams as possible. Every seam removed is one less source of friction on every pedal stroke, and the muscle support comes from the fabrics rather than from tightness.

    The C-shaped foam pad is built directly into the pattern, in a single panel from the straps to the crotch. Its two layers move independently to follow your position, and its single-layer surface fabric, with no lamination or foam, dries quickly in hot weather.

    A high-density woven fabric panel compresses the lower back and glutes a little more. The lower body gains stability, and Q36.5 expects better power transfer from it.

    Description

    The Q36.5 Gregarius Pro is a summer bib short for riders who head out from 18 °C and want to forget about it once in the saddle, all the way up the ramps of a mountain pass.

    It all happens under the saddle. The C-shaped pad of the Q LAB Air insert is built into the pattern, in a single panel from the straps to the crotch, which keeps it stable under your pelvis. Its two layers move independently to follow your position, and its non-laminated surface fabric dries quickly when it is hot.

    With no elastic or silicone, the raw-cut legs stay put without pressure points. The bib short weighs 175 g in size M and is made for the heat. Below 18 °C, switch to the Dottore Hybrid. A fitter's tip: judge the size sitting on the bike, hands on the drops. The insert should stay flat under your sit bones, the two bones that carry your weight, and the straps should hold without pulling on your shoulders.

    Q36.5 has it made in Italy with components developed in-house. At MAAKE, it is our pick for a summer of long rides: enough support to last the hours, little enough fabric to disappear.
