STONE AERO T-TYPE 1x MTB chainring

The Stone Aero T-Type is a solid-face single MTB chainring for SRAM Eagle 8-bolt cranks: XX Eagle SL, XX, X0 and GX Eagle. It needs a SRAM T-Type or AXS Flattop 12-speed chain.

Its tooth profile is designed for both chains, which according to Stone improves chain retention, and machined to within 0.03 mm for stable meshing. With a 3 mm offset, the chainline comes to 52 mm: Boost 148, 142 or 135 mm depending on the setup.

According to Stone, the solid face brings more stiffness and an integrated look, with a little more chain noise. It costs 5 g in 32T compared with Stone's hollow version. On tooth count, at 32T, two fewer teeth shorten every pedal revolution by about 6% on every sprocket: enough to keep your cadence on a steep pitch.

Stone cuts it from 7075-T651 aluminium, with a hardness of HB150. MAAKE offers it to switch a SRAM Eagle crank to a solid chainring, from 26 to 40 teeth.
