    Description

    The Cybrei Ultra Evo crankset combines the Ultra crank arms with their carbon spindle, the 110×4 aluminium spider and Evo aluminium chainrings, in black. For road riders who want the Ultra with all-aluminium chainrings.

    The Evo chainrings are machined from 5.6 mm of 7075-T6 aluminium. That thick structure makes them firmer: Cybrei claims 12% more stiffness and less weight than a conventional alloy chainring. The 50/34T pair weighs 145 g, the crankset 455 g, calculated.

    The Ultra goes down to 155 mm. A shorter crank lowers the foot at the top of the pedal stroke and opens the hip angle: from 172.5 to 165 mm, 7.5 mm less at top dead centre. Leverage drops by about 4%, which you make up by spinning a little faster, 94 rpm instead of 90.

    Cybrei keeps its carbon spindle for the Ultra. MAAKE offers it with the Evo chainrings for a carbon crankset with all-aluminium teeth; you choose the colour with the Evo outer chainring, sold on its own.
