    Key features

Cassette Garbaruk GEN2.0 T-Type, Noir, gros plan sur le pignon de 52 dents

The eleven smaller cogs are machined from a single block of chromoly steel, which stands up to chain wear. The 52-tooth cog is 7075-T651 aluminium: that is what brings the cassette down to 340 g.

Cassette Garbaruk GEN2.0 T-Type, Noir, face arrière

Tooth profiles and shift ramps redesigned in 2025: shifts go through under load, and the chain stays put when you backpedal.

Cassette Garbaruk GEN2.0 T-Type, Noir, montée avec un dérailleur SRAM Eagle Transmission

It works with every T-Type derailleur, from XX SL to Eagle 70. The 10-52 range is the groupset's own: nothing else to change.

Cassette Garbaruk GEN2.0 T-Type, Orange, montée sur un VTT tout-suspendu

The 52-tooth cog comes in eight anodised colours, the same as Garbaruk's cranksets and chainrings.

Cassette Garbaruk GEN2.0 T-Type, Noir, vue de face sur fond noir

Garbaruk rates it as compatible with e-MTBs: the GEN2.0 shift ramps are designed for high-torque drivetrains.

    Description

Garbaruk's GEN2.0 T-Type replaces the cassette on a 12-speed SRAM Eagle Transmission groupset, from XX SL to Eagle 70, on an XD freehub body. It keeps the 10-52 range and your stock derailleur, with a SRAM Flattop 12-speed chain.

Its 340 g come down to how the materials are shared out: eleven cogs machined as one piece from chromoly steel, where the chain wears, and a single one in 7075-T651 aluminium, the 52-tooth, which carries the colour. The GEN2.0 ramps shift under load, even with the derailleur two clicks out of adjustment in Garbaruk's tests on an AXS derailleur.

With twelve cogs from 10 to 52 teeth, the average step between two gears is 16%, close enough to hold your cadence. On an XDR freehub body, you need the 1.8 mm Garbaruk spacer, sold separately.

Garbaruk machines it in its workshop near Kraków. MAAKE offers it to lighten a Transmission groupset and to match the Garbaruk XC crankset.
