    Cintre intégré route Kreuza Apex One-piece Handlebar

    The handlebar and stem come out of the same T800 carbon mould: 305 g painted, 380 mm wide with a 110 mm stem. With no junction, there are no longer four stem bolts to torque, nor a spot where the air catches.

    The profile is a NACA aerofoil, 16 mm at its thinnest section. Kreuza claims 4.5 W less drag from its CFD simulation, on the first part the air meets after the front wheel.

    Three widths from 360 to 400 mm, measured hood to hood, and seven stem lengths from 80 to 140 mm. You pick the cockpit from short and wide to long and narrow: it is all decided when you order, as the part can't be lengthened afterwards.

    The bar doesn't fit the frame's stock top cap: it needs the Kreuza Apex adapter, available in 45 versions. Only the Evolve CIMA comes with a top cap designed for it as standard.

    The Kreuza Computer Mount interface is moulded into the front of the stem: two bolts, no clamp to tighten around it. The mount is sold separately, as is the headset adapter.

    Compatibility

    The handlebar fits with a Kreuza Apex headset top cap, specified frame by frame. It does not fit a stock top cap, and the Kreuza Computer Mount bolts into its interface.

    If your frame is not on the list of 45 adapters, it needs checking before you order.

    Description

    The Kreuza Apex One-piece Handlebar is a bar and stem in a single piece of T800 carbon, for the road racer. It does not fit on the stock top cap: you need the Kreuza Apex adapter for your frame, except on an Evolve CIMA, whose top cap is designed for it.

    The profile is a NACA shape, 16 mm at its thinnest section, and Kreuza claims 4.5 W less drag in CFD simulation. Against a rider's power, that is not much. But the handlebar is the first part the air meets after the front wheel, with no junction for the air to catch on.

    Kreuza measures width from hood to hood: measure your current bar in the same place. After that, only the height can be adjusted, with the 5 and 10 mm spacers supplied.

    The Apex bar is Kreuza's central piece: the top caps, the mount and the bottles exist for it. Because it turns a production frame into a bike with an integrated cockpit, MAAKE offers it.
