    A thin airtight layer of rubber loaded with aramid particles lines the inside of the tyre, over a 120 TPI nylon fabric. More supple than a conventional butyl layer, it loses less energy as it rolls and resists punctures better.

    Three polymers in a single compound, each in charge of a quality that pulls against the others: grip, speed, durability. Pirelli designed it for all weathers, high mileage and rough surfaces.

    The same tyre from the 28 mm for racing to the 40 mm for broken roads. Between the two, the air volume almost doubles: less pressure for the same support, and 130 g more in Black.

    Without a tube, it needs sealant to hold pressure, like any tubeless ready tyre according to Pirelli. Never exceed the lowest of the tyre's, the rim's and the rim tape's maximum pressures.

    Description

    The P ZERO Race TLR is Pirelli's all-round tubeless road tyre: it does the long ride of the week as well as the Sunday race, from 28 to 40 mm.

    Its speed is decided on the inside. The SpeedCORE sealing layer is a rubber loaded with aramid, thinner and more supple than conventional butyl: the tyre deforms with less energy loss and resists punctures better. According to Pirelli, it rolls 24% faster than the previous generation.

    The real choice is width. A 40 mm holds roughly twice as much air as a 28 mm: you can run it at lower pressure without it squashing, for 130 g more in Black. Check your frame's tyre clearance, and plan on sealant and a tubeless valve.

    Pirelli makes it in Bollate, near Milan, the factory that made SpeedCORE possible. We offer it because one model covers the whole road season.
