    The evolution of the three-polymer SmartEVO compound, with new materials and mixing processes taken from Pirelli's motorsport work. It gains grip, especially on wet roads, and rolls with less resistance.

    The aramid-loaded airtight layer stays, but the tread and the fabric plies are thinner. That is what brings the 28 mm down to 290 g.

    The bead has been redesigned for today's aero rims, hooked and hookless alike. The specifications give the width Pirelli measured on each rim width.

    After the lab, the prototypes were tested on the road with the Lidl-Trek riders, on the descents of Etna and in the Arenberg Forest. Before its release, it already had more than 70 podiums, including 30 wins.

    The natural rubber, about 23% of the tyre's weight, is FSC certified, and a logo engraved on the sidewall shows it. Pirelli presents it as the first bicycle tyre to carry this certification.

    Description

    The P ZERO Race TLR RS is Pirelli's race tyre, for the days you pin a number on. Lidl-Trek riders raced it before its release, on more than 70 podiums.

    The SmartEVO² compound grips better, especially in the wet, and the SpeedCORE casing keeps its aramid sealing layer under a thinner tread and thinner plies. According to Pirelli, on the test bench: 8% less weight and 16% less rolling resistance than the P ZERO Race TLR.

    According to Pirelli, its bead is designed for recent rims, hooked and hookless alike. And the rim sets the actual width: in its measurements, 2 mm more rim gives about 1 mm more tyre. The 28 measures 28 on a 19C, the 30 and 32 on a 21C. Choose the size based on your rim and your frame.

    It comes out of the Bollate factory, close to Pirelli's R&D in Milan, which made it possible to develop it in under six months. We offer it so you can race on the pros' tyre.
