    The front panels, the ones that take the wind head-on, are cut from a two-layer fabric with a microporous membrane. Behind them, the UF Air Insulation lining captures the body's microclimate: a layer of warm air stays against you, even when the descent drags on.

    Under the main zip, Q36.5 builds in a minimalist zipped inner gilet, in tightly woven brushed polyester-polyamide. It adds warmth on the chest and manages moisture: the brand designed it for interval sessions.

    Q36.5 started from the body's regional sweat rates to put together 11 exclusive fabrics, each in its own place. The sides and the back don't get the same fabric as the front: the jacket holds in the warm air when it needs to and lets it out when the effort builds.

    A continuous reflective insert runs the full length of the shoulders and arms. When a winter ride starts before daybreak or ends after nightfall, it makes you visible from different angles, according to Q36.5.

    Description

    The Q36.5 Dottore Termico is the brand's warmest jacket, for -5 °C to 5 °C: rides of more than four hours below zero, interval sessions in the depths of winter.

    At -5 °C, the challenge is to keep the same temperature from the foot of the climb to the bottom of the descent. Q36.5 mapped the body's sweat rates and placed 11 fabrics according to those zones. At the front, a microporous membrane blocks the wind and the UF Air Insulation lining holds in the warm air. On the chest, a zipped inner gilet adds warmth. Everywhere else, the heat of the effort finds a way out.

    On the climb, open the jacket and keep the gilet closed. Underneath, follow the Q36.5 guide: Base Layer 3 from 3 to 5 °C, Base Layer 4 Plus below 3 °C. With your hands on the hoods, the collar should close without squeezing and your lower back should stay covered. The Dottore Termico bib tights cover the same range; above 5 °C, switch jackets.

    Made in Italy, it is, according to Q36.5, the result of its most advanced thermal research. We offer it to anyone who rides right through the winter.
