Q36.5 PLUIE overshoes

The Q36.5 Pluie overshoes are the ones for proper rainy days, in any season, in a real downpour. They cover the whole shoe up to the bottom of the calf.

Their fabric is a knit coated with polyurethane on both sides, as waterproof as a silicone overshoe but far less prone to tearing. The knit stays stretchy: it keeps the water out without squeezing the calf, for 85 g a pair in size M.

Pull them onto your foot rolled up, put your shoes on, fold them down over the shoes and close the Velcro under the sole. Let the bottom of your bib tights fall over them, never inside: the water then runs off the outside, like on roof tiles. Their limit is breathability, which Q36.5 rates lowest. In cold, damp weather, the Pluie Hiver overshoes breathe better; on wet roads, the Pluie toe covers are enough.

Q36.5 developed this fabric itself and makes them in Italy. We chose them for the rides when rain is forecast and you head out anyway.
