    The head rises straight, with no backward curve: the clamp sits above the tube. Compared with a post with 20 mm of setback, the saddle moves forward by about 2 cm without touching the rails.

    Ritchey widened the single-bolt clamp to spread the pressure on the rails. The side bolt frees tilt and fore-aft together, and locks at 12 Nm at most.

    Description

    The WCS 1-Bolt Zero Offset puts the clamp in line with the tube, with no setback. It is the answer when the saddle ends up too far back with a standard seatpost, even though it is already slid all the way forward on its rails.

    That is common for riders with short femurs, who need the saddle closer to the bottom bracket to keep the knee over the pedal, or for those who ride in a forward position. Tendencies, not rules: a bike fit settles it.

    Going from 20 mm of setback to zero moves the saddle forward by about 2 cm. With a 73° seat tube and a 72 cm saddle height, the effective angle goes to nearly 74.5°. The saddle also gets closer to the handlebar: a slightly longer stem sometimes restores the distance.

    Ritchey widened the SideBinder clamp to spread the pressure on the rails. At MAAKE, it pairs with the WCS 1-Bolt with 20 mm of setback: same seatpost, two positions.
