    Key features

    Key features

The fork blade goes from 58.23 to 68.28 mm deep, the head tube from 83.96 to 90.16 mm. WinSpace claims 8.9 W saved at 48 km/h against the C5 Aero, validated in the wind tunnel at the Fuji Aero Performance Centre.

Toray T700 and T800 for strength, M40 and M60 for modulus, and so stiffness. The frame comes out at 900 g in size M, unpainted, after six design iterations and 100,000 fatigue cycles.

The bottom bracket threads into an aluminium insert moulded into the carbon. It comes out with a tool, no press, and the threads work in metal rather than in fibre.

700C × 32 on every size, from XS to XXL. A wider tyre runs at lower pressure for the same deflection: the casing soaks up rough tarmac instead of bouncing the bike off it.

Fork offset goes from 49 mm on XS and S to 43 mm from M upwards. The head angle, for its part, goes from 70.8° to 73.2°. Trail stays between 57 and 65 mm: the small sizes keep their stability, the large ones their responsiveness.

UDH hanger for a direct-mount SRAM Transmission derailleur, fully internal cabling through FSA's ACR system, Di2 battery mount included. The aero seatpost is included, 320 mm on XS and S, 360 mm on the larger sizes.

    Description

The WinSpace M6 is the brand's aero road frameset, the successor to the C5 Aero: frame, fork, aero seatpost and hardware, to be completed with an integrated bar. It is aimed at the racer who rides in a group and pays for the wind on every turn at the front, with 32 mm of clearance for a tyre that soaks up the road.

Aero is decided in volumes nobody looks at. The fork blade goes from 58.23 to 68.28 mm deep, the head tube from 83.96 to 90.16 mm, and the seatstays end in a dovetail. WinSpace claims 8.9 W saved at 48 km/h over the C5 Aero, validated at the Fuji Aero Performance Centre. After six iterations and more than 100,000 fatigue cycles, the frame comes in at 900 g in M, unpainted.

Drag grows with the square of speed, and the power needed to overcome it with the cube. Hence a gain quoted at 48 km/h: at 35 km/h, about 3.5 W of it remains, which you won't notice on a recovery ride. The rest is simple to maintain: a T47 bottom bracket threaded into a moulded aluminium insert, a UDH hanger, fully internal cables with FSA's ACR system. The seatpost comes in 320 mm on XS and S, 360 mm above that.

WinSpace moulds the M6 in its own workshop in Xiamen and X-rays every fork before shipping. For MAAKE, it brings a measured aero gain, built on standards a workshop can maintain without exotic tools.
