    Description

    The Cybrei BCD144X5 Spider fits a chainring with five mounting points, on a 144 mm circle, to a Cybrei crank. It is Campagnolo's old standard, still the standard on the track.

    Five bolts rather than four, on a wider circle: chainring load is spread over five supports, closer to the teeth. Cybrei shapes it as a 7075 aluminium disc, at 116 g.

    The flip side of the large circle: it rules out inner chainrings. This is a big-ring spider, not a compact one. Check your chainring's drilling too: a five-hole 130 or 135 looks like it and will not fit. On 700 × 28, a 58 × 11 covers 11.3 m per pedal revolution, 61 km/h at 90 rpm. For a compact or semi-compact, take the 110 × 4 spider.

    Cybrei designs it for its own cranks. MAAKE offers it so you can keep a Cybrei crank with a 144 × 5 chainring.
