    Description

    The KS Ether Carbon Riser is a carbon MTB handlebar with 20 mm of rise, supplied at 780 or 810 mm to cut to your width.

    Width is set with a saw, guided by the cut and rotation marks KS prints on the bar. Cut the same amount from each side, then set the 4° upsweep and 9° backsweep identically. Taking a 780 down to 740 mm means 20 mm per side and about 5% less leverage: the steering gets quicker. Cut in stages, a cut can't be undone.

    The diameter is chosen to match the stem. In 31.8 mm, it weighs 138 g at 780 mm and clamps in the KS Ether Forged stem. In 35 mm, it weighs 200 g, but for the same wall thickness this diameter resists bending about a third better.

    KS lays it up in multi-layer unidirectional carbon, with variable wall thickness. We chose it for an MTB cockpit you can fine-tune to the millimetre.
