    The back and palm are cut from UF Air Insulation Plus, lined with a plush-feel fleece. It insulates and wicks moisture away from the skin at the same time: your hand stays dry when it warms up on a climb.

    The palm is a three-layer laminated membrane, with a special print on the palm and fingers. It is what holds the cold bar when you brake or shift.

    The outer fabric is laminated with a membrane against wind and rain, and it stays stretchy. The glove follows the shape of your hand instead of stiffening your fingers as they close around the bar.

    Description

    The Q36.5 Super Termico gloves are made for freezing winter rides, the mornings when the water in your bottle turns to ice. Q36.5 rates them from -5 °C to 5 °C.

    Inside, a plush-feel fleece insulates and wicks moisture away from the skin. Outside, a fabric laminated with a membrane stops wind and rain without losing its stretch. Q36.5 gives these gloves its top rating for insulation and wind protection, at 110 g a pair in size M.

    On the bike, it all comes down to the palm: a three-layer laminated membrane and a print on the fingers hold the bar when you brake. If your levers have a reach adjustment, bring them in for the winter: a gloved finger then catches the lever without stretching the fabric. Do not size down: a tight glove compresses the fleece that does the insulating. Above 0 °C in the rain, switch to the Pluie Hiver gloves.

    Q36.5 makes them in Italy. We chose them because a deep-winter glove is only worth having if it still lets you brake cleanly.
