    Description

    The KS Ether Carbon is a carbon gravel handlebar for riders who spend a lot of time in the drops on rough tracks. It clamps at 31.8 mm, like the KS Ether Forged stem.

    It all starts with the flare, the outward angle of the drops: 18° here, where a road bar stays around 0° and most gravel bars around 12°, according to Vojo. The further your hand goes down the drop, the wider it gets. For the same drop, this spread is about half as much again as with 12°, and that leverage holds the front wheel when it slides out.

    The tops also sit 18 mm above the stem clamp. With a 71° head angle, the same height in spacers would raise the bar by about 17 mm but also pull it back by about 6 mm. The rise brings your torso up without changing the reach. The limit: KS publishes neither reach nor drop.

    KS designed it for gravel, from the rise to the flare. We chose it for the control it gives in the drops.
