    Description

    The Cybrei Evo Honeycomb is an aluminium road outer chainring, designed first as a 56-tooth and then extended from 50 to 56. It fits Shimano 110×4 cranks and spiders, 11- or 12-speed. It is sold on its own: the Cybrei inner chainring and the bolts are sold separately.

    Its face is hollowed with honeycomb cells in 5.6 mm of 7075-T6 aluminium, linked by a network of walls running from the teeth to the mounting points. According to Cybrei, the part gains stiffness and strength, and shifting stays reliable under heavy load. 130 g in 50 teeth.

    The 56-tooth is for riders who go fast and push big gears. With an 11 cog on 700 × 28, one pedal revolution covers 10.9 m: 59 km/h at 90 rpm, against 52 km/h with a 50. Its teeth sit 58 mm beyond the bolt circle, 12 mm further out than on a 50, hence the value of a stiff structure. The one limit: it only comes in black.

    Cybrei had professionals race it before offering it in standard sizes. MAAKE picks it for big gears, up to 56 teeth.
